Ramaswamy, who resides on Chamiers Road in Chennai, is credited and mentioned in the 37th edition of Grey's Anatomy for his discovery of the ganglion for the internal laryngeal nerve. With a remarkable life dedicated to medical education and academics, he is Professor Emeritus at the Elite School of Optometry Chennai.
