๐ŸŒŸ Happy Constitution Day! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ✨๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŒŸ Happy Constitution Day! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ✨

๐ŸŽ‰ Did you know? On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect on 26th January 1950! Today, we celebrate Samvidhan Divas to honor this historic moment and the values that guide our nation. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ“œ

๐Ÿ‘‰ A Bit of Backstory:
In 2015, to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar ๐Ÿ•Š️—the Father of our Constitution—PM Narendra Modi declared 26th November as Constitution Day while laying the foundation stone for Ambedkar’s Statue of Equality Memorial in Mumbai. ✍️✨ Previously called National Law Day, this day now shines a spotlight on Ambedkar’s ideas of equality and justice. ⚖️๐Ÿ•Š️

๐Ÿšจ Not a public holiday, but way more meaningful! Here’s how it’s celebrated:
✅ Schools read the Preamble aloud & host quizzes, essays, and mock debates. ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŽ“
✅ Universities organize mock parliaments to explore the Constitution. ๐Ÿ›️
✅ Indian embassies translate and share the Constitution globally ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ Run for Equality, special parliamentary sessions, and illuminated Parliament complexes add to the grandeur of this day. In 2019, students of Andhra University ran the Run for Ambedkar rally on Beach Road, Visakhapatnam. ๐Ÿƒ‍♀️๐Ÿ’–

๐Ÿ”ฅ 2023 Highlight: The Govt. of Manipur launched a bilingual edition of the Constitution in Meitei Mayek (Manipuri script) and English. ๐ŸŽ‰ Accessible in schools, libraries, and offices, this marked a historic first for the state. ✨๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ‘‰ Let’s take a moment to appreciate the values of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ❤️

Stay proud, stay informed! ๐Ÿ’ช
