Sankara Nethralaya proudly conferred the prestigious Sankara Ratna Award on Shri S. Ramadorai, former CEO & MD of TCS, for his transformative contributions to nation-building. The award was presented by Dr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Hon'ble Minister for IT & Digital Services, Tamil Nadu, at a special ceremony held on March 27 at Taj Coromandel, Chennai.

Shri Ramadorai’s visionary leadership saw TCS grow from $155 million to $6 billion, a feat applauded by Dr. Thiagarajan. In his speech, he acknowledged the Tata Group’s legacy of community service and highlighted TCS’s early collaborations with Sankara Nethralaya in developing hospital management and EMR systems.

A proud moment celebrating leadership, impact, and a shared commitment to affordable, tech-enabled healthcare for all.
