“But He was wounded for our transgressions,He was bruised for our iniquities…”– Isaiah 53:5

“But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities…”
– Isaiah 53:5

O'er Calv’ry’s hill, where shadows fall,
And mercy weeps through crimson pall,
We lift our eyes with hearts contrite,
To Love that dawned through darkest night.

He bore our sin, our grief, our shame,
The spotless Lamb, the scorned, the slain;
Yet from His wounds flowed grace untold,
A balm for hearts grown faint and cold.

So here we kneel in silent awe,
By sacred wounds and Heaven’s law,
To learn of peace, of love made plain—
Through thorn and cross, through blood and pain.
