A Red Salute to Comrade VS Achuthanandan (1923–2025)
A towering figure in Indian communism, a relentless fighter for the rights of the marginalized, and a symbol of uncompromising integrity, Comrade VS Achuthanandan passed away today at 101. From co-founding CPM in 1964 to leading Kerala as Chief Minister (2006–2011), his journey was marked by courage, conviction, and clarity.

"A true communist stands by truth even when truth is inconvenient." – fittingly reflected in Achuthanandan’s life and words.
