On 29th July 2025, the first-year B.Optom students of Sankara Nethralaya Elite School of Optometry (SNESO), Kolkata, undertook an insightful hospital department tour at the Rajarhat Campus. Guided by Ms. Mousumi Patro, Assistant Professor, and myself, the students witnessed firsthand the operational synergy that sustains excellence in eye care services.

They visited Medical Records, Finance, Administration, Corporate, Mediclaim, Communication & Appointment Sections, HRD, Quality Control, Wards, Operation Theatre (OT), Outpatient Department (OPD), Patient Care, Surgery Fixing, Opticals, Pharmacy, Stores, and Patient Relations. Each department demonstrated its vital role in the smooth, patient-centered functioning of Sankara Nethralaya.

This exposure helped students appreciate that behind every clinical success lies the coordinated strength of committed non-clinical teams.
