Durga Puja 2025
Durga Puja 2025 Wishes
On this auspicious Durga Puja, may the Divine Mother, who is praised across the scriptures, illumine your heart with strength, wisdom, and grace.
From the Vedas (Rig Veda 10.125 – Devī Sūkta):
“Aham eva svayam idam vadāmi juṣṭaṁ devebhir uta mānuṣebhiḥ; yaṁ kāmaye taṁ tam ugram kṛṇomi taṁ brahmāṇam tam ṛṣiṁ taṁ sumedhām.”
(I, the Goddess, alone give speech to gods and men; whom I love, I make mighty—him I make a seer, a sage, a learned one.)
From the Upanishads (Kenopaniṣad 3.12):
“Umā Haimāvatī Brahmavidyām vyācacakṣe.”
(It was the Goddess Umā who revealed the supreme knowledge of Brahman.)
From the Puranas (Markandeya Purāṇa, Devī Māhātmyam 5.16):
“Ya Devī sarvabhūteṣu śakti rūpeṇa saṁsthitā, namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ.”
(Salutations again and again to the Goddess who abides in all beings as Power.)
From the Āgamas (Devī Tantras):
“Sarvaṁ śaktimayaṁ devi, sarvaṁ devi-mayaṁ jagat.”
(O Goddess, all is filled with Your power, the whole universe is pervaded by You.)
From Ādi Śaṅkarācārya (Saundarya Lahari, Verse 1):
“Śivaḥ śaktyā yukto yadi bhavati śaktaḥ prabhavitum, na cedevaṁ devo na khalu kuśalaḥ spanditum api.”
(Śiva is able to create only when united with Śakti; without Her, even He is unable to stir.)
From Devī Māhātmyam (Caṇḍī Pāṭh 11.10):
“Sarvamaṅgalamāṅgalye śive sarvārthasādhike, śaraṇye tryambake gauri nārāyaṇi namo’stu te.”
(O Nārāyaṇī! The auspicious among the auspicious, the fulfiller of all purposes, the refuge, the three-eyed Gaurī—I bow to You.)
From the Bhagavad Gītā (10.34):
“Mṛtyuḥ sarvaharash cāham udbhavaś ca bhaviṣyatām, kīrtiḥ śrīr vāk ca nārīṇām smṛtir medhā dhṛtiḥ kṣamā.”
(Among women, I am fame, prosperity, speech, memory, intelligence, fortitude, and patience.)
From Lalitā Sahasranāma (Verse 8):
“Śrī māta śrī mahārājñī śrīmat-siṁhāsaneśvarī.”
(She is the Divine Mother, the Supreme Queen, seated on the majestic throne of the universe.)
May these eternal truths remind you that Maa Durga is not only the cosmic Mother outside but the very light of awareness within. May She bless you with śakti (strength), bhakti (devotion), and jñāna (wisdom)—leading you to victory over all darkness and unveiling the bliss of Advaita, the oneness with Brahman.
